Drum Month Promotion
Art Direction & Graphic Design:
For this promotion, we were inspired by the warm 70’s aesthetic and Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open” music video, which had just been released. We leaned into the cultural hype and excitement surrounding the artists and the song, incorporating our own spin and creative ideation with the arches, typographic treatment, and other design elements. Creative assets were created for website candy tiles, rebate badges, site wide banners, homepage and landing page assets; display and programmatic ads; emails; social channel covers, organic, and paid posts; in-store price tags, window clings, and tabletop signs; and print advertisements. Design elements were also integrated into assets produced by our in-house video team. Additional assets can be viewed on Behance.
Photography:
Our team met at 4:00pm on a Friday to brainstorm possible venues outside of our on-campus studio that would give us a similar look and feel to our Anderson .Paak inspiration imagery. After some discussion, it was suggested that we reach out Junk Ditch Brewing Company—a local Fort Wayne restaurant inside an old paper company warehouse, featuring industrial interior design, exposed brick, and delicious craft beer and food. At the time, I worked with the Junk Ditch family as a freelance photographer, so I reached out to my contact and friend at Junk Ditch, shout out to Katie Jo, and within minutes we were confirmed for an early morning Tuesday shoot.
